Q: Why does it take 3 hours to groom my dog?
A: We book our schedule with three dogs per time slot. (8 A.M., 11 A.M., & 1:30 P.M.) We average 1 hour per dog, however some pets do better with grooming than others so it may take a little more time on those pets. We start on whoever arrives first and follow in order.

Q: Can I drop my dog off earlier than my appointment time?
A: Yes! We allow drop offs beginning at 7:30 A.M. However, we do not begin grooming until 8 so we can make sure we check everyone in and fill out the necessary paper work. If, for example, you have an 11 A.M. appointment but need to be at work at 10, we do allow you to drop off early, but we may not start grooming your dog until 11 A.M. to make sure we get our 8 A.M. dogs completed in a timely manner.

Q: Do you offer multi pet discounts?
A: We do not. People don't like this answer, but it takes more time to groom 4 dogs than 1 or 2 dogs.
Q: Why do we see puppies running around in the salon?
A: We foster puppies for Hub City Humane Society. Part of the fostering is socialization. It also helps get them adopted if they aren't leaving for transport when other people see them being adorable in our grooming room.

Q: Do I pay when I drop off or when I pick up?
A: Either is fine.

Q: Why is there hair on the floor of the grooming salon?
A: You may be laughing, but this is a legitimate complaint we've had. We're a grooming salon. We cut dogs' hair. They do offer a product that would fix that issue, called a Clipper Vac, but they aren't very comfortable on our wrists. So the hair falls off your dog onto the floor. Each groomer sweeps their station before leaving for the day.

Q: What happens if my dog bites someone while he/ she is being groom?
A: We usually just let the pet owner know they were snippy. The only time we don't allow a dog back for grooming is if immediate medical care is needed for a member of our staff due to pet aggression.
Q: Why are you more expensive than corporate stores?
A: In the long run, we aren't. Our prices include nail grinding. If you ask for nail grinding at our local corporate store, it's an additional $12. Our pricing includes medicated or specialty shampoos. If you would like to upgrade to a specialty shampoo, like whitening shampoo at that corporate store, it's an additional $7 - 10 charge depending on breed. The only shampoo we charge extra for is our flea & tick shampoo and that's because we have to spray for fleas and ticks to ensure they do not move on to other customer's pets.
Our pricing includes teeth brushing. At said corporate store, it's an additional $11.
At that same corporate store, they charge an extra $3 to groom your pet on a weekend or a holiday week. We charge you ZERO extra dollars.
The only extra charges we apply can be found here.
